In cooperation with Statnett, Innova has successfully installed 10 aircraft warning markers by robot on the high-voltage power line between Åna-Sira and Kjelland in the Egersund region. The ten markers where installed in just over an hour using two robots in an alternating manner. The installation was part of Statnett’s qualification program for the AWM robots which will be put in full operation next year. A new campaign is planned for November, installing 74 aircraft
Innova has selected acoustic and inertial navigation technology from Sonardyne International for two new in-field resident remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). Each ROV will be installed with a co-housed Sonardyne Sprint Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Syrinx Doppler Velocity Log (DVLs) to provide navigation data that will support a variety of survey and inspection missions in water depths up to 4,000 meters. The two ROVs are being built by IKM Technology, for delivery to IKM Subsea,
Innova was present at the FFU Seminar held in Stavanger on 02.02, showcasing our subsea prouct range, including subsea HPU technology and our fibre-optic multiplexer product line. Project Manager Kjersti Ollestad and Sales Manager Sven-Eivind Torkildsen were interviewed on the FFU website. Thanks to FFU for an excellent seminar and exhibition, looking forward to seeing you all next year!
Innova AS has been assigned a contract by Statnett for development of a robotic tool for installation of Aircraft Warning Markers, AWM, on high-voltage power lines. The robot is designed for autonomous installation of AWM onto power line shield wires by helicopter. The shield wire is positioned above the conductors and acts as an earth wire for the power line assembly. As the installation is fully autonomous, personnel risk is significantly reduced as only the
Innova's annual 'open house' seminar was held Friday October 28th, with more than 110 visitors listening to talks and checking out the latest subsea technology developments in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. This year's program included presentations of new technology and operations from partners and customers, including Teledyne Bowtech, nCentric, Forum, Sonardyne and Island Offshore. Our keynote speaker, Rune Mode Ramberg from Statoil held an interesting talk about the Subsea Future from Statoil's perspective. We would
Innova was present at the Underwater Technology Conference in Bergen, June 15 – 16 2016. Those visiting us at stand no. 30 could see Sonardyne’s new Sprint INS and Syrinx DVL. In addition, we were showing the all new MiniMatrix fibre-optic multiplexer, as well as one of the electro-hydraulic subsea HPU systems with integrated variable frequency drive and high pressure grease pump delivered to FMC’s RLWI system.
